Gold is still the standard!
According to recent interviews with Gordon Christensen and Richard
Tucker, gold is still the best restorative material and is still
the standard by which we judge all other restorations. Marginal
burnishability, wear similar to enamel and the tendency for the
margins to seal over time were some of the reasons for their hypothesis's.
